Didn't they have some sort of conveyor belt presenting the food?

Any stories?

I would have to rate it the mother of all pigpens.

I remember the one that was in Gretna by the old WoolCo. Rumor has it John Ehret football team shut it down in 81-82.

They had great Bread Pudding in a warm vanilla custard sauce..

I think I have eaten at the one on the west bank. Whenever we played baseball on the west bank we would stop there.

I remember Duffs in Corporate Mall. We would pig out, go outside ,smoke a joint and come back and do it again. The food was on large powered lazy susans. Good times.

No, but it sounds like something I would've liked to have taken part in.

I seem to remember a place like this in Lafayette when I was really young, but I don't think it was called Duff's. Hell, I'm not even positive this isn't a false memory, but it sure seems like something I remember. Does anyone else remember something similar to this in Lafayette?

Yes Duffs was in corporate mall. The food would go around in a big circle, maybe 2/3 open to customers and the other 1/3 through the kitchen so they could replace empty buffet dishes.

Food was pretty generic, decor was ok. I don't think it even lasted a year. Iirc it was packed for the first three months then folks figured out it was a less tasty version of Piccadilly. (Which owned BR at the time, Piccadilly was fantastic in those early 80s late 70s)

It wasn't bad, just super bland so you didn't have a big incentive to go back multiple times.

Yes remember going there as a kid with fond memories of the soft serve ice cream machine and dessert bar.

Also remember a couple of the cultured female staff getting into an all out fist fight on one of my visits.
