Does anyone here have a good recipe for grilling ribs on a gas grill?

I just got a charbroil infrared grill and want to try something a little more in-depth than just throwing a steak on. Do any of you have a good recipe to grill ribs on a gas grill? I also just bought a new smoke chip box and woods chips to put in the grill while it's cooking, so I want to try that also.

Move them to the far side away from a burner. Dry rub em with something sweet and spicy. Throw the chip box over the hot side.

Spritz em with apple juice occasionally from a squirt bottle.

235 degrees until they hit 197 degrees. Pull from the heat and rest.

Just put them straight on the grill or have them in a pan? I've seen people do both.

Leave them on the grill if you must do it this way. I suggest googling Alton Brown's backyard rib recipe. You cook them in the oven for a few hours then move them to the grill. That's the only method I use for ribs when I'm not smoking them.

Do you have ceramic briquettes? I've had pretty good success by using briquettes over a burner and have the ribs on the other side of the grill (burner off on that side). I've put soaked wood chips directly on the briquettes for some smoky flavor.

Use a good smoked paprika in your rub and you'll get plenty of smoke in your final product. No need to do oven first. Just cook/smoke them until tender.

No, this is my first gas grill. I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs of cooking on it. I'll have to look up how to cook with the briquettes.

Definitely. Soaked wood chips on the briquettes will get you the smoke you want. They even sell briquettes with wood slivers in them.

IMO, it's the closest you will come to pure smoked ribs on a gas grill. Like I said, I've had very respectable results. Ribs go directly on the grill.
