I've only been there once, and it was years ago. On their commercials I always hear them advertise the Hook and Ladder sub which I assume is their signature. On a whim I just decided to look up the nutrition facts for it.

1,136 calories and 105 carbs. In a sub! And that's just the H&L. If you're feeling a little spicy you can get the Sweet Thai Chili Pork. That'll set you back 1,541 calories, 95g of fat, 3,458mg of sodium, and 106 carbs.

Sure you could get something healthy like a salad, but I mean why would you go to firehouse subs and get a salad ya know?

I'm assuming that is for the large sub? That is definitely a lot, but that sandwich is pretty massive.

Yikes! That is just terrible. But then again, a lot of places aren't exactly healthy.

It only has 650 calories. Which isnt bad at all for one meal. Yeh if you get the large you will be pounding the calories over 1000, but that is the same for subway

The Engineer sub is normally what I get, about 700 calories and fills me up nicely.

Yeh the OP is talking about the large. And if you need the large to fill you up there of course you are a fatass

LIke I said I've only been once and it was years ago. How big is a large? I assumed the sizes are like most sandwich places with 6" and 12" options..and I imagined the "large" was 12".

I would think most adult males would order a 12". Is their large like an extra size up?

Me. I'm not a TOTAL fat tank. Club on a sub. It's delicious.

Edit: Large on wheat.

Place is great. But don't eat there every day. That's the secret to enjoying all the good things the world provides.

There medium is about 8", and they load it with actual meat. If you order a large at firehouse you are either a 16-20 year old guy or a complete fat frick
