Planning an outdoor kitchen for the new house. I plan on have a Primo ceramic grill with built-in space for it. Trying to decide if I need a gas grill?

Gas is super convenient if you're cooking quick or for yourself. Would put one in so you can throw some sausage on or something while you're slow cooking in the other.

I have both but the gas is a pain to clean. I cook steaks, chicken or fish on the gas, anything that's gonna drip a lot of grease i cook on the charcoal.

If you're gonna spend all that money on an outdoor kitchen why not throw in a gas grill for a few hundred more

I went from wanting only a gas grill (all I really ever used) to a promo and a gas grill. Untill I got the primo and started cooking on it. Now I have 2 primos and a dual gas burner and don't regret it one bit! I can get the primo going pretty fast. I get it going first then deal with food. It's usualy ready before the food is. I'll fire it up to cook 6 thin boneless pork chops with out worry. Toss in a chunk of Mesquite right before dropping them on. Way better than gas reguardless of convenience. Thanks wick!

I'm very much a charcoal guy. In fact, I've never owned a gas grill. I'm hearing completion of my outdoor kitchen. I ended up going with a built in area for my Primo, an alfresco power burner, and a 36" DCS gas grill. I will probably continue to use the primo more than anything, but I'm looking forward to versatility.
