Deer Roast

Got a roast in the freezer that needs to be cooked, but I've never messed with a venison roast before. What ya'll got?

Cook it the way you like a beef roast. I use the crock pot or smoke them med rare

You can also cut it up and make a stew, chili or stroganoff.

Treat it as you would a beef roast. I'd definetly marinate it though, it pulls a little of that wild game taste from it.

What's the marinade of choice? (I use Sprite or Mountain Dew for my fry meat...)

I've made some great stews with them. Take off silver skin, cube, a little flour then sear in olive oil butter & garlic. I add broth, turnips, rutabaga, carrots, mushrooms, etc.
