Dat Dog coming to Lafayette

A deal to bring a popular New Orleans eatery to Lafayette, has been finalized, according to realtor Mark Van Eaton with Beau Box Commercial Real Estate.

Eaton said Dat Dog closed on a building in downtown Lafayette at 201 Jefferson Street, across the street from Rêve Coffee Roasters.

The Lafayette location will be around 15,000 square feet.

Eaton said the new restaurant is part of a larger revitalization of that part of downtown Lafayette. He hinted at more New Orleans businesses coming to Lafayette.

“We are working with another couple of restaurants and bars from New Orleans, some well-known businesses are looking to come into this area,” Eaton said. “We want to have a New Orleans vibe in downtown Lafayette. We want that part of downtown to be more of a destination.”
