went there for brunch on Sunday and really enjoyed it. Had the chicken biscuit with sausage gravy and honey (fat). Was delicious.

Also had the cold boudin and toast appetizer, came with cane syrup and pickled carrots. Delicious.

I'll go back for sure.

I like blue dog for dinner (circa 2007) but the brunch last year was insane. They ran out of everything and there were way too many people standing like vultures near every serving area.

Went Saturday night...

Gumbo - killer

Wife had Ribeye and I had the Snapper - both really good all around

Deconstructed Smore for dessert - killer

Only complaint.......The Ribeye was the special, and I don't know if the waitress failed to tell us the price, but when the bill came, I was quite surprised.....$49 for a steak???? come on now

Always ask the price of specials, consider it a lesson learned.

My lesson was a little more expensive when I ordered the ribeye special. It's was $30 an ounce

ETA: not at Dark Roux

This happened to me once. A lobster special with a champagne butter sauce was offered. It was basically a lobster with the sauce and some veggies. Almost $60, and this was maybe 20 years ago.
