Do you think the following are craft breweries?

Guinness?
Yuengling?
Sam Adams?
Blue Moon Brewery?
Shiner Brewery?
Sierra Nevada?
Anchor?
New Belgium?

Technically, only Guinness and Blue Moon are not craft from that list.

Guinness? - no
Yuengling? - no but still glad they exist
Sam Adams? - yes even though they are big now they were still at the fore front of the movement and are starting to recreate themselves
Blue Moon Brewery? - no
Shiner Brewery? - on the fence here, maybe
Sierra Nevada? - yes, the company that brews one of the most available(maybe not blow your mind but very good) pale ales and IPAs absolutely
Anchor? - same as Shiner
New Belgium? - definitely

Nope, I don't view any of those as craft. If I can get it at any single store or tap year round, it probably produces too much to be a "craft" beer in my opinion.

If you're going by the 6MM bbl or less per year, then they might all be considered craft beer. I guess I'm referring more to the "micro" breweries. When I think craft, I think of as unique, hard to get, doesn't produce much beer, etc.. The listed don't meet this criteria, especially since many of them are in the top ten producers of beer in the US. Of course, they all pale in comparison to what anheuser busch is putting out.

Looking at total barrels is kind of a bad way to do it.

Look at Goose Island, a lot of the stuff they put out is meh to average. However, the sisters and BCBS pour it in the craft range.

I guess you could argue if a big brewer can make a craft beer or does the brewer have to make nothing but craft level beers.

At this point the lines are blurred with how big stone/SN/NB have gotten and all the breweries that have gotten purchased

Some high minded people will skip goose island and the like that are being bought out. I like sofie too much to stop buying it

Starting to really doubt this one. BCBS with the infections and I personally think Lolita is not good this year. Maybe if we got some others from the line-up I could say more, but Lolita is a shadow of itself.
