I know there are plenty of enthusiasts here, but I have a hard time keeping up with all the different threads. We have a couple of craft beer stores here and I want to try a few, but I can't keep up with all the names.

What are the 10 or best craft beers that I need to try or tell my guy to order. TIA

all drinks. not just beer and not just alcohol

Well what kind of beer do you like? IPAs? Stouts? Porters? Wheat Ales?

What beers are available to you?

The store I got to has over 300 beers. I like lighter beers or fruity beers

Cottage Hill?

They have DDH Breakfast Harvest, go get a crowler. They also have KBS, maybe grab one of those. If you don't like either one there may not be hope for you!

The Raspberry Berliner Weisse from Trimtab mentioned above was terrific.

The Raspberry Berliner Weisse from Trimtab

This.

Start off with easy drinkers; you want to ease into IPAs, unless you find you love them and want to jump in feet first.

Trimtab Raspberry Berliner Weisse
Founders Rebaeus
Chandeleur Lil' Smack (not entirely sure you get this)
Tin Roof Voodoo (again not sure you get this.. trying to remember what beers AL gets)

For some good IPAs:
Straight to Ale - Monkeynaut
Cigar City Brewing - Jai Alai
Six Point - Resin or Bengali (you really can't go wrong picking up any pack of Six Point). You'll have to check the freshness on these, unfortunately the boxes don't have dates.. last time I picked up some Bengali it was 4-5 months old.
DogfishHead - 60minute or 90minute if they're fresh.. hard to find fresh DFH these days.

In terms of stuff you may find at a store..

IPA - Dogfish 90 or 120, Ballast Point Sculpin

Porter - Founders Porter

Stout - TenFidy, Founders Breakfast Stout

Belgian Dark Ale - Trappist Rochefort 10, St Bernardus ABT 12

Lots of other styles worth checking out too; but, these are pretty accessible and great representations of the style.

Not knowing what’s available in your area, you could always ask the store owners what their best sellers are. Try something made locally if you can.
