I've been 1x and I sampled everyone's dishes and they were all excellent. Did you have the crawfish enchiladas? (delicious)

Tell me a place in NOLA that you think serves good enchiladas?

Just what Mandeville/ Covington needs, another Mexican place. 2 Laccarretas, Georges, Casa Garcia, 2 other Mexican places right close to coyote Blues, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.... Everything in that spot has failed thus far...

Srsly? If it's as popular as that shiny new Interstate franchise steak restaurant, it will be a huge success.

I heard a rumor that Sam's was going to end up in there as well. I think Dick's and PetSmart might already be in the works.

Don't forget Mi Casa. I actually liked that place.

Did Puebla Vieja shut down? That is a hard luck location.

Mi Casa is actually good. Yep, those are the 2 I was referring to close to that location. Not sure if Puebla Vieja shut down or not. Heard mixed reviews on it. I prefer authentic Mexican food with real Carne Asada, not all this Tex-Mex stuff around here. It is kind of hard for restaurants to make it in that area if they have a bar in that area of 190. Cops sit outside of the restaurants, and visit the restaurants/bars there, then stalk for DUI's. I'm not for drinking and driving, but that area is harsh.

Cracker Barrel is going into Nor du Lac?? Holy shite. That shopping center is going to suck. Besides Khols and Academy, It Bites!!! I live right by it. It has Dollar f'ing tree, Hobby Lobby, Texas Roadhouse. What a waste of development

Remember how "upscale" the Nor de Lac was suppose to be...Ruths Chris Steakhouse, high end ladies clothing stores, etc. Maybe they couldn't get these stores done without the Sams. I was always in favor of the Sams, just not the WalMart. I'd rather not drive to Slidell to Sams for my business stuff.

Yep, It was sold to the public as upscale, and now it is low class inexpensive stores. I was for Sam's , Dilliards, Ruths, all this bullshite they sold the public.I probably won't go to any store I see there, except Academy. (which was suppossed to be Dicks) It won't be long, and Texas roadhouse will be gone. No way it makes it.

Well yall can thank the NIMBY idiots for why it is no longer high-end. It was set to open as long as the Wal-Mart and Sam's were approved so the financing was there. Then that got blocked and the economy went to shite. That whole original development would be open right now if the Wal-Mart and Sam's were allowed.

Now I can't help but laugh when these same morons are now complaining that it is now no longer high end. But hey, at least I got an Academy out of the deal.

Oh and Sam's might still go off of Hwy 21 but not in the Nor du Lac development.

I'm all for developing what they said they were developing, and never bitched about clearing out land near an interstate for gods sake, but don't come here using the economy going bad as to why there are shitty low class stores in this glorified strip mall. I hope SAMs does go in. Great. That area could use a good mall IMO.

Ironically, Louisiana Heart Hospital wanted the Stirling Covington location at first. The Association of Associations went batshit (reportedly, this was before I moved to the area), and they prevailed.

Their reward? A highway mall just like every other exit in Louisiana.

Not Nor du Lac, but in the River Chase development.
