Corporate Brew and Draft-bar grub edition 4 months in

Since the opening, these hipsters have had brats, sausage, etc. to the menu all relatively cheap (under 7) for a meal and chips, which is ironic because it's a sausage fest in there. In addition, freshly popped pork rinds-pretty much the perfect bar food have been added. I believe they are doing beer pairings as well with other small plates...now as long as they quit showing hockey games that place would be perfect(minus the sausage fest)
also, they have bar back that looks like a young Ron Jeremy.

a mixture of praise and insults

So it's not a good place to bring women?

How busy has it been? I've only been when they had been open for a few days and it was in the afternoon, so the crowd was me and two other people. I plan on swinging by in a few weeks when I'm through town.

no it's perfectly fine, I was just making the obligatory joke about craft beer bars and women.

If I was single, I'd be looking for women at some of Portland's taprooms. I'm not going to go as far as to say that the women outnumber the men, but it's close, especially on a sunny day at a taproom with an outdoor patio. Women who enjoy craft beer gain 1 3/4 points on the O-T hotness scale...
It's not just groups of women, either. I'm amazed at how many women go into a craft beer venue and have one by themselves...

The difference between BR and Portland is this.
that being said, I do see plenty of women at CBD,Cove and Port Royal. I'm sure the Bulldog is crowded with them for NOLAites who want "culture".
Tin Roof's taproom might get some ladies in there and Delgado probably pays women to fill the DraftHouse or whatever its called.

i think the women going to the cove and port are just going there to drink. those two are big service industry places.
CBD? I thought you just said it was a sausage fest.
I think the group of craft beer drinking women in BR is very small. Just happens that most of the better bars have a good amount of craft beer

They aren't going for the beer.
There are some craft beer ladies in BR, but I certainly wouldn't direct someone to CBD to pick up women

Well neither would I and I guess that is what I am getting at, CBD is a great place for me to drink beer but it doesn't have the atmosphere that a group of females would seem to enjoy
Posted on 4/30/15 at 8:53 pm to tduecen
Definitely not. And without any liquor, I don't know many females I could convince to go with me.
Lucky for me.. I have no female friends who ever want to hang out anyway, so it works out

That is why they need to allow females to bring over drinks from the Cove

You call our lovely ATC commissioner and convince him it's OK and I'll get right on it.

The Cove offers a discount to service industry people, thus lots of women who work at the restaurants around Bocage and Town Center head there after their shifts.
