quote:Well, you're definitely spot on about Kimball. Bell peppers are probably too hot for him. On the other hand, I don't think he was one of the tasters.
I saw Christopher Kimball taste a hot sauce on the show once, is almost killed him.
As someone said, I think Tabasco is more of a cooking ingredient, rather than a condiment.

I put Tabasco on almost everything. It's always been my favorite.

I have been killing Valentina on Mexican food lately, and Sriracha/Chili Garlic for Asian foods, and Crystal and Tiger sauce for America dishes.
They each taste different and work better with different types of food. I do not like the Tabasco red sauce at all, but I like their chipolte, buffalo, and garlic type sauces.

this was kind of a flawed "competition"
one of the applications was just put on chicken as a wing sauce and also just over rice
I like Tabasco but thinking of eating it with just rice or just coated on a piece of chicken would clearly not be very good
Tabasco is used more as a cooking additive and not really a "topping" IMO

Tabasco tastes the best IMO. It takes way too much crystal or franks to match the level of heat Tabasco brings. They were the first therefore they are the best.

Same here
Crystal isn't very good, I feel like people in Nola only use it cause it's local. It's not a very good sauce. The baumers are dbags as well which doesn't help the flavor.
