Cooking a whole beef strip

Tomorrow.... Oil, salt and fresh ground black pepper on the outside. Give it a good sear on each side. Finish it off on low heat until the middle reaches a nice med rare temp. Let rest, then feast.

What am I missing fellas? Any other tips for cooking whole cuts of beef?

I've been seeing that on here. Not quite willing to put my reputation for providing good gameday food on the line just yet with that method.

I've been wanting to try though.

AG stores have them on sale $4.99 for select and $5.99 for choice I believe. Usually 8-12 lbs. Should yield 12 steaks or so.

Yep, seems like reverser sear would be the easiest way
