Probably the only jogging I'll do in the next 3 years if I had to guess.

you need to find a girl to go "couples jogging" with you or something.

I don't know about all of that happy horse shite but I found a woman that wants to teach me how to surf.
I can live with that. My pasty arse needs some sun.

I just sighed out loud when I saw that a thread about $.25 martinis had devolved to couples jogging and you were to blame.

I'm partially to blame as well. I'll let you borrow 50 cents if you need a buzz that bad.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure they're using well vodka over there so let's not get too up in arms.
Plus gin martinis > vodka martinis.
How do you take your martinis, btw?
I like gin (don't bruise it .. i.e. - stirred) w/ a dash of vermouth and 3 olives.

I always figured you for an apple pucker type of guy....

It was the principle of the matter. Truth be told, I can't drink well martinis unless it's a few martinis in. I have to start off with the good stuff.
I prefer gin martinis too. I like a Gibson made with a splash of vermouth, 3 cocktail onions, and 3 olives on the side. Sometimes I like the olives in my martini and the cocktail onions on the side.

Interesting .. never had any a gibson w the onions. Will try soon next time I'm at a bar I trust with it.
B what did y'all order @ Commander's when you went last, and how did you like it?

I started off with the Commander's Salad, because I agree with you about their Turtle Soup. The person whose birthday we were celebrating was in from Montgomery, and they were doing the pecan crusted drum they usually have for brunch, so we had that, which was delicious. For dessert, I had cheesecake and she had bread pudding. There were 6 of us and I think everyone split and shared. Then that night we went to Peche.

sounds like a fine time :)
tell your friend from Montgomery that a resident food and craft beer hipster snob on a message board said he really enjoys El Rey Burrito Lounge, Filet & Vine and Railyard Brewing Co.

I'll see what she says about your food choices. I think we're all a little bit snobby about food, so I'll be evaluating her response...
Peche is spectacular.

OK, just got home with a buzz...here is my report...
Had two dirty Gin Martini's
Turtle Soup, no extra sherry.
Cochon De Lait special which included the soup...pulled pork with great smoky flavor and very tender on top of a tortilla topped with refried red beans and boudin.
Grand total bill: $18.80 tipped $7.00
Very good lunch
