I'm going to Hangout Fest this weekend, and we are eating here Thursday night. Any suggestions or experiences from there? We were going to go five years ago on a guys trip, but one of our friends got us kicked out for trying to play and pet the redfish at the entrance. Yeah he was drunk haha.

Set aside lots of time. they might just be the slowest restaurant in the world when it comes to seating, serving and everything else.

Food is OK

Service is slow

Prices are high

Will be crowded

We usually go elsewhere

But if you have not been, then go for it.

Crab and shrimp dip is ok
Combo oysters are ok
All of their fish will be ok - ask what the waiter recommends

Stay sober enough that you keep your hands off their fish.

Honestly, Id go to Big Fish on the intercoastal canal road at H-161. Better food.

Or Fisherman's Corner on Canal Drive under the 292 bridge on Perdido key.

Was there twice last summer.
Both times were solid.

Sounds good. Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah don't plan on repeating my friend's mistake of playing with the fish haha.

Was there 2 weeks ago and the food is definitely the best in the Gulf Shores Orange Beach area. Wasnt too crowded so maybe the food was better prepared. Tuna app was solid! Filet was very good! Fish dish was very good.
Probably going to be a cluster frick with all the peeps in town for Hangout Fest! Good Luck!

Overrated, IMO. We stayed at Caribe and ate there a few times during our stay, and it was pretty average.

Cosmos is better overall but it's the same owners I think. Cobalt is still pretty good and they have updated their patio area since last summer.
