Need one somewhat near the Cajundome. Searched a bit and most are closed other than Deano's. Thanks

FP x 3

Dwyer's Cafe on Jefferson St ....Downtown

ACME Taco in Oil Center

edit: Dwyers Cafe would definitely be better with children than FP

FP has incredible food however the wait on a Sunday can be 45 min +

Thanks, GB. Dwyer's may be a good option. We won't arrive in Laffy early enough for a wait. Need to be at the Cajundome prob a bit before 12:30.

What Got Blaze said is spot on, but FP is kid friendly. It's just not the kind of place that would be convenient with kids that young.

Joey's is a very good spot that is just down the street from the cajundome.

Social is a little more of a drive, but also a good choice.

Agave is right across from the Cajundome. I haven't tried much of their menu, but their ceviche is good.

Went to Dwyer's. Arrived a bit before 11. We're told we could order plate lunches only or wait 25 minutes to order from the menu. Went to Mel's instead which was perfect. Everyone wanted breakfast anyway. Food was fine.

Mel's breakfast is awesome at 3am during a drunken stupor.

Wow, Gris. After all of that, and you went to Mel's Diner. I don't know whether to laugh or cry for you
I like the breakfast at Mel's, and have eaten there many many times in the 6-8 am work week time frame.

But we had higher hopes for you and your family for more upscale and authentic options. Oh well.

Don't be sad for me. It fit the bill. Basic good and cheap breakfast food for a bunch of kids before a Disney show. My eggs were perfect, hash browns and bacon were crispy. Everyone was happy and I escaped buying crap food at the show. Nothing not to like.
