I just walked by and the hurricane shutter was down. I did see it open yesterday with a Louisiana seafood delivery truck out front.

Fried oyster omelette. One of the best things on the menu. Their bloody mary is a great deal $2.

I sense a lack of food appreciation. I weep for you.

why would I go again when they cannot do something as simple as properly cleaning oysters. I can get raw oysters at 50+ places in town. It's not like casamentos has some special oyster other restaurants cannot get.

Actually, you're sort of incorrect. Every place doesn't get the same selection. And I've never, in a hundred visits or so, been served improperly cleaned oysters.

It is pretty much recognized by every critic as having great raw and fried oysters. And great other fried seafood. I have been over 100 times and have never had grit in my oysters. You had a bad experience, people have them at the French Laundry. Your opinions on this board aren't taken seriously.

Obviouslly everyone cannot get the same selection but I highly doubt Casamento's has their own private beds which only they get oysters from.

And again, I had a bad experience on my one time there. There are plenty of other places I can go to get raw and fried oysters where I have not had a bad experience, so I have no reason to go back
