I bought 4 packs of grated cheese on sale. Can I freeze 3 for later?

I do all the time. It doesn't take too long for it to thaw out. Just let it sit at room temperature for a half hour or so.

I even do it with sliced cheese for sandwiches. Keeps for a really long time.

Never had a problem.

Why'd you buy grated cheese? It always taste better when you do it yourself.

I've never done it but heard harder cheeses freeze better

Grated does great. Blocks of cheddar always come out sort of crumbly after thawing though. The texture it takes on puts me off and it doesn't slice well anymore.
