These beer events have just about jumped the shark.

Correct.
That is why NOLA on Tap does it well. Festival access with music is free and you pay for samples.
Especially bad ones that you pay for access to the event ($16 with fees) and then $15 for 7 samples. For $31, you can get a good amount of all these breweries beers (full-size!) at the grocery store or a bar.

This by far. Plus it's in city park, dog friendly, and supports the animals. The beers are better too.

There were over 500 people there. There were brewery owners and reps there as well. They had live music and specialty releases. It was a great event.

NOLA on Tap has home brew and celebrity judges. I believe it was the first place in NOLA to have Goat Rafts IPL, I'm sure you would know.
How did you like Colin Lake Ross ?

Colin was playing in the upstairs vip room. He was great.
I'm not sure why celebrity judges is in bold, but when it comes to Louisiana breweries, there were plenty of celebrities in attendance.
