Breweries between San Francisco and Seattle

Let's say one were to make a trip up the northwestern edge of our great country. What breweries would you stop at? I've looked and there are 1300 breweries along the route. Most of them I have not heard of before. I have some of the big names marked, but the smaller places are where I need help.
Bonus restaurants and outdoor activities.

Stop in humboldt, hike the redwoods and visit lost coast, six rivers, eel river and mad river breweries. Take a trip to fern canyon while you're at it. Damn i miss the redwoods.

RR is definitely on the list. For a so-called maven, I've never actually had a RR beer. One of those that has just slipped through the cracks.

*taking notes
I will be making this trip in the near future as well

Bear Republic isn't too far north of Russian River, I'd probably put that on the list as well.
And I'd trust rutiger's recommendations.
Then you're into Oregon... go wild.

Looking at the map, Lagunitas would be just before you get to Russian River.

You have to go through Petaluma to get to Santa Rosa, may as well hit Lagunitas.
Then hit Russian River
Then Bear Republic
that's as far as I got

I hung out with the Lagunitas guys when they came down here for the launch party. They are awesome, you should definitely go there. Even if it is second tier

Spend a day in Bend after visiting Crater Lake. Crux, 10 Barrel, Good life, Boneyard, and Ale Apothecary are all nice stops.
Then drive up the coast after a round of golf at Bandon Dunes. Stop at Pacific City for a beer at Pelican Brewpub.
Head up to Cannon Beach and then on to Astoria, where Fort George and Buoy Brewing can be found. Go see the view at Astor Tower.
If you have time, go to Portland.

Day one is looking like flying into San Francisco area. I'd love to do Anchor and also hit up the Mikkeller Bar.
Next day hit Lagunitas, RR, and something else. Then drive into Eureka for the night and hit up Lost Coast for the night. Wake up the next day and do some hiking around Redwood National Park. That puts me in Oregon by the end of the third day.

Don't forget your bullet proof vest. It is in a pretty rough neighborhood.

My itinerary was nearly identical except I spent a few extra days in SF and didn't do Anchor. Also went to Magnolia and Toronado while in SF. Had a blast.

I forgot about your love of Anchor. Certainly go there, but check to make sure you don't need to call ahead. At one time, I'm pretty sure you did.
I really enjoyed Bear Republic, which you can do after Russian River, if you are still sober enough. After the full board sampler and a couple pints I was pretty smashed.

I went to the Couch Trippin party at Republic...
...weirdest crowd I've ever been around, in a good way.

Definitely hit Moylans, Lagunitas, RR, Bear Republic, North Coast and Sierra Nevada while in CA.
Moylans has crappy food but some good beers. RR is a serious hipster scene. Lagunitas apparently has live music on Sundays and is dog friendly. Bear is my favorite (disclaimer: Healdsburg is my hometown). Sierra is in the central valley but I've heard that Chico is really a cool town. North Coast is in Fort Bragg (awesome, grungy little coastal town).

Hit 21st Amendment in the city. cross Golden Gate, go up Sonoma Valley, hit Lagunitas in Petaluma, Russian River in Santa Rosa, Bear Republic in Healdsburg; North Coast in Ft. Bragg; Eel River in Fortuna; Lost Coast in Eureka...I hope you have a DD. They are serious about the drunk driving in NorCal.
