Let's not forget that the greatest restaurant New Orleans has ever had was in a strip mall on W Esplanade. Or if you like to go way back, Lake Forest Blvd in New Orleans East.

Crozier's has yet to be matched.

"The greatest internet compliment ever paid was when a burgeoning food critic walked into a church on Claiborne Ave and saw Lester Earl, VOR, and a fellow who went by the nick name Strong Safety all gathered around a computer reading her food and cultural review. Little did they know the author was there watching them read her words!"

Shaya didn't even participate in the block party last weekend, some "part of the neighborhood" they are.

I usually sit at the bar and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a seat.

what is up with your fascination with my parking? I mean jesus tapdancing christ. Nearly two years ago I said I couldn't find a spot on Freret to try Liberty steaks one time and you are stuck on this parking kick. It may of been chuckle worthy once, but now it's just a bore.

I'll try to make it there next weekend. My go to M.E. restaruant has been Shish ka bob house, which is a Palestinian place. Very good food and cheap.

Everything I hear about Shaya has been excellent.
