Where is your go to place for a breakfast sandwich in the morning? I know Chick-fil-A has really good sandwiches, but its tough to beat a McDonald's double egg white with a coffee.

Give me a break, no one reads the food and drink board. Its a slow day at work and I'm trying to settle a workplace debate. I come to the OT because I know it has all of the answers

Places like Calvins/Mathernes/Bet-R make much better breakfast sandwiches for just as cheap. As long as you don't mind getting out of your car.

The best breakfast sandwiches aren't going to be at fast food joints.

But if you must hit a drive thru, try the chicken/egg/cheese biscuit from Hardee's.

Hard to beat a Hardee's biscuit. Really depends on what type of sandwich I'm in the mood for as to where I go though.

Chicken it is obviously CFA

Sausage only it is BK

Bacon egg and cheese biscuit either Hardee's or CFA

Croissants I go to a local place, Café Iz. Their Bacon egg n cheese is enough for two adults to split, but I always eat the whole thing by myself. And the other half of my wife's.

Krystal has decent ones too, and there's one near the house.

The Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich from the Waffle House with smothered, covered and peppered hash browns is my favorite. There are more people that read the Food and Drink Board than you think.

This is from a thread I started years ago.

1. McDonald's- Mainly because of the Deluxe Breakfast Platter option. The McGriddles rock and they are the only ones I know of who cook the egg like they do for the McMuffin. And their OJ tastes the best, JMHO on that one.

2. What-a-burger- There biscuits are by far the best. Without question, hands down.

3. Chik-Fil-A- chicken biscuit is good. Plus their sausage pattie is different from everyone elses. More like the sausage you get in the tubes at the store and not like the prefrozen ones like everyone elses is.

4. Wendy's- Artisan sandwich is good. Their biscuits are really crumbly but second only to What a burger as far as taste.

5. Sonic- Has good burritos. They are pretty meh though as far as a total menu goes.

6. Burger King- sucks. I don't go there.

Worth mentioning-

Hardees- doesn't have anything around Shreveport. But I remember enjoying their breakfast bowls.

Krystals- Again, not in Shreveport. But I enjoyed their Sunrisers as well as the cup with eggs, sausage and grits. It was awesome.
