Would like some suggestions on some laid back watering holes. Perkins area was my go to but is starting to get old. Well past college years so those places are out. Big Heads was fun but that was lost to the flood. Any suggestions? Hope ya have a happy new year.

Radio Bar - there are a lot of hipsters, but they keep to themselves.

The Patio Lounge - it's old man bar on Jefferson with an excellent Bloody Mary.

Corporate Draft - beer bar that's laid back.

Patio is very laid back but a little smokey and thats coming from an occasional smoker.

Went to radio once. It was...different. Guess I could give them another shot.

Where is corporate draft?

Thanks for the suggestions

Corporate is by the Pelican House, also Olive or Twist may be up your alley

Off of Corporate, in the same shopping center as Albasha and Jason's Deli.

Olive or Twist gets crowded. They have a good crowd and they know how to make drinks. Plus, the prices aren't bad.

It's a great brunch and happy hour spot... once they get busy service predictably slows down.

It's my most frequented spot lately, but I'm rarely a late-night partier.

Great place to watch smug and condensing hipster bartenders in action.

I've always really like the bartenders there. Great people, IMO. They can be a little slow at times, but its not like they are just whipping out rum and cokes.

Yeah, the bartenders there are super solid. Place reminds me a lot of the Anvil in Houston -- I'm certain that isn't a coincidence. The bartenders at the Anvil are freaking rock stars - place is as big and busy as a Tigerland bar and they crank out craft cocktails.

He said condensing hipster bartenders. Like droplets out of thin air. Sort of a compliment IMO, unlike his usual condescending BS on the board.

Paul would be the one to go to a bar and watch all the guy bartenders 'in action'.

He got his sweating confused with condensing

Go to The Station.

Ask for Emily Turner.

Tell her I sent you.
