Baloney Cake was mentioned in the movie, Sweet Home Alabama. I don't know how popular it was before that, but apparently it's a thing now. Just like how the movie of the same name made fried green tomatoes mainstream.

It would surprise me 0% to see this at my wife's grandmother's Thanksgiving spread.

Ummmm I like every part of it....just not sure I need them all in one. Having said that, I'm sure back in the day, when the Munchie Monster showed up at 2:00am, we concocted some "dishes" that were way farther off the culinary rails than this one.
