Do you start with cold or hot water?

Discuss.

I always started with cold because of the water heater tank. I felt that water was "stale." I have a tankless now and starting at 140F sure is faster.

Cold, because that's what my Mama said to do. I guess I could consider making a change.

I always start with cold because consuming water after it's been thru the heating tank creeps me out.

Cold, because it runs through a filter.

If it's for boiling eggs, always cold. Pretty much anything else I start with hot water.

I'll admit to starting hot most of the time because I have a shitty glass top stove that takes for fricking ever to boil water.

That's what my wimmen folks said too. Although, the more I think about that, it might be because, that's all there was to start with, cold water.

Right, because water boils at different temperatures.

Cold. Don't want my cooking water sitting in my water heater.
