Boiling shrimp questions

Never done it at home, have fried though.
Questions are:
Do I just drop Zatarin's bag in boil until one or 2 floats?
Do I let water start boiling then put in?
Will Zatarin's bag be enough for 1 LB a piece?

Boil water with seasoning. Cut off the flame. Put shrimp in hot water for 2-3 minutes. Take out and eat.
If this zaterin bag has shrimp in it seasoned already, boil water. Cut off flame. put shrimp in for 2-3 minutes.

The Zatarin's bag I'm talking about is the crab boil seasoning bag.

How many lbs are you boiling? I think you are making things a bit over complicated. Just drop all the bags in the water ( I would add some crab boil liquid too) with some salt and bring it to a boil. Add your shrimp and let come back to a boil, turn off the fire and let soak till they are done to your liking. I run my shrimp under cold tap water for a few minutes before boiling and they never stick.

Salt water to taste of the sea 3.5% salt (that salty). Heat to a boil add the Zatarin's pouch and allow the water to boil for a few minutes to get the water all spicy. We usually add a lemon (cut in wedges) when we throw the bag into the water but that is not mandatory.
After the water gets spicy, add the shrimp. They will stop the water from boiling so I keep the heat going.
When the shrimp float, they are done. Remove them and taste one. If they are spicy enough for you, chill them with ice and serve. If not spicy enough, chill the cooking water with some ice and throw the shrimp back in to soak for a while. The water must be cool if you do this because they will continue cooking in hot water and they absolutely are done (cooked properly) when they start floating.
The Zatarin's bag will do five pounds easily.
Salt level is key. IMO, shrimp need salt to bring out the full flavor. The best way is to make certain the cooking water is as salty as the sea. Believe it or not, a living shrimp is not nearly as salty as the water they live in.
