Why wouldnt u boil the crabs and toss the shrimp in for the last couple minutes? Even if you are cooling the water, seems like u can add shrimp way later to soak.... like potatoes go in before the corn?

Makes sense 2me

What about adding a couple pounds of shrimp after you cut the fire on a sack of crawfish?

May want to boil shrimp first.
Then add salt to the water and then boil the crabs.

Otherwise the shrimp can be a pain to peel.

Dungeness crabs have a much longer cooking time than shrimp.

Myth, I always add the salt while the shrimp are boiling and they are easy to peel.

Yep. Same here. Never understood what led people to blame hard-to-peel shrimp on salt. I just let them continue doing what they do and I keep doing whats been working for 20+ years.

Another one is dropping shrimp in boiling water and shutting it off immediately then calling everything else overcooked. GTFO. I boil them for 3 minutes and soak for probably 15 - 20 and the shell is separated from the shrimp every time.

Then there's the guy who says putting a banana in there during the soak will make them peel easy. Lol. Do your thing bruh.
