I know I saw on here where someone had one. I am thinking about getting one for my birthday, but I only have room for the 28 inch version. How is it to clean? Do you spray PAM on the surface before using? Thanks.

i got the 36 in for fathers day. I just finally set it up about 2 weeks ago.

man i loving it honestly. I have cooked burgers, breakfast and seared some sous vide steaks on it.

Clean up is easy and i prefer it over cleaning a couple pans any day.

There are a few flaws... the part where you scrape grease to is very shallow. First time using it, it came over side and hit my foot and burned me.

The hole where the grease drains to the grease catcher could have been designed much better.

Those small flaws wouldn't prevent me from buying it though.

I got a 36 for my birthday and just finished putting it together about 15 minutes ago. I'm gonna clean it up and try some hibachi chicken and noodles tonight. I'm looking forward to it.

Get one, they're awesome. I have one at my house, and one at our camp.

As long as you keep it well seasoned with oil, I've never had anything stick.

It is so much fun to cook on, and makes the best burgers hands down.

Sorry if this is a highjack - not what I intended.

This is about the cutest thing I have seen in a while.

how often do you think we need to apply oil?

I just do a little before each time I use it. I scrub it good with some water and steel wool and then oil it up and season it. I haven't been cooking on it as often recently (like once a month) so I just re-season before each use.

If you're using it often I would say it's definitely not necessary.

I'd highly recommend the cover as the griddle will want to rust sitting outside

That's the size I keep in my camper.

Perfect for small meals.

I've had one a few months and love it. Definitely get a cover for it. I seasoned mine following the directions, and it has been great. I put a thin layer of almond oil (very thick oil) and put the burners on full blast until it stops smoking. Did that twice the first time I set it up. Now just a little Pam or olive oil before cooking, then when I'm done I crank the heat up until any residue flakes off, then pour some water on it to steam it. Finish it off with a light coat of Pam on it and cover.

I do everything on it- makes great breakfast, hamburgers, chicken, even fried rice. This weekend I am hoping to get some Mahi Mahi or redfish filets and try them blackened on it. It makes cooking fun.

do you keep yours outside? is the pam barrier enough to keep the humidity from rusting it.

i bought a cover but with it being outside on my patio deck in Louisiana... i would think occasionally applying oil would keep it from drying and rusting

I keep it covered on the back porch, and so far it has done fine. I use it 3-4 times a month, so it doesn't sit too long. I was having trouble with the cover touching the griddle and sticking to the surface, so now when I store it I take an LSU stadium cup and put it on the middle of the griddle upside down to keep the cover off of it.

I may start using olive oil if I know I won't be using it for a while.

Alright, alright, alright. Going pick one up today as a early birthday present. What accessories do I need? What kind of oil do y'all use to cook and season it?

I bought the Blackstone cover for my 36. It was 29.89 on Amazon and came in yesterday.
Philly cheese steaks on on tomorrow's menu.
