Beer afficionados, what do you think of the beer at BJ's? I had a NitWit today and thought it was pretty good. I've also had the Harvest Hefeweizen the Pirahna Ale and one or two more and always thought they were tasty.

I'm just venturing out to try different beer, been a Bud Light kind of guy for a long time and decided to try to broaden my horizons.

So what's the verdict, do you guys like their brews at all?

Jeremiah's Red is very good and my favorite.

I think i had their summer-ish beer last time i went and it was good.

I've had the pizza, it is pretty good. Not a bad place really, especially just for lunch like I had today.

The Blonde and the Heffe are my two favorites. You can get a sampling of each one, in small portions, which is kinda cool.. For food, I like their Grilled Chicken Club alot..

Yeah I though that was pretty cool as well. I believe the NitWit is new, it's a Belgian style wheat with orange flavoring, kind of like Shock Top but better IMO.

I may get crucified here for this but BJ's is one of my favorite restaurants in BR. Not necessarily my favorite food, but I like the place as a whole... and the beer.

I like BJ's, both food and beer. I enjoy drinking a few beers and then seeing a movie.

I like the Piranha Pale and the Tatonka Stout best.

I've only been a few times coming into town for football games and I have always enjoyed it.

I've been there once and had a few of the beers. Not too bad. Nothing special, but pretty decent. I'd go more if I lived out that way.

I'd like to know where they get their beer in each local market. I know here in Houston, they contract with the St. Arnold Brewery to brew their beer.

I was on a tour at the new brewery one time and passed by a fermentation tank that had Tatonka Stout on the chart. I asked the guide and he confirmed that they brew for the Houston area BJ's locations.

I would think if St. Arnold does it for Houston, they probably do it for the BR location. If not St. Arnold, Covington Brewery and Lazy Magnolia do contract brewing.
