Krispy Kreme on Siegen opened with a bang and was closed within a year.

Wasn't the building where south of philly in Sherwood a fast food concept owned by Copland? Seems like it opened in the late 90's and closed really fast

I don't care what anyone says -- Mama Dellas had legit pizza. The problem was that the owner developed a bad rep, and he could never overcome it. Baton Rougeans trying to tell him how to make a pizza? I can totally understand his aggravation.

There was some catfish place there - Kingfish or something - closed quickly.
I'll add Grady's American Grill

That's it! Wasn't it a Copeland owned place? I know it didn't last long

Not sure about the Copeland affiliation, but yeah, it lasted maybe a year.

Linebackers was open for a while had a good black bean chicken sandwich. Macaroni Grill was open for about 6-7 years. We tried Dreamland charged separate for each side and it was like $2-$3 for a few bites of beans or potato salad. Was in the building where the Bulldog is.
What about the place that followed the Great Wall on College. Don't think it made 6 months.

That guy was an arse. If I want bacon on my pizza then I want bacon. Tell me no, I leave and don't come back, others do the same, your business fails. But hey, he can pay his mortgage with his allegiance to his pizza recipes.

Dreamland gets m vote. I've been to the Tuscaloosa original man times and was excited about it coming to BR. I went when it was open abut 2 weeks, got a rack that was inedible. It was so overcooked and dry I damaged a filling trying to chew it.
I heard many people with similar experiences, never went back.
I had the same experience. The meal I ate at Dreamland in Tuscaloosa was a religious experience. I moved back to Baton Rouge in August 2004 and I went out to eat at Dreamland on a Friday night with a good friend and his girlfriend at the time -- I think it was the first Friday night I was in town. The meal was so disappointing, I wanted to cry.

The three original restaurants off of Corporate, except for On the Border. The other two were complete flops. Forgot the names
I opened Macaroni Grill in 95. When I moved back in 04, it was still open. I know it was around for a couple of years after I moved back, because I ate there once and I dated a waitress who worked there. It closed no earlier than 2006. That's a decent run. (And I think they closed because the chain ran out of steam.) Grady's wasn't open but for a year or two.

Fish City Grill next to the movie theatre at Perkins Rowe (where Voodoo BBQ is now).
How shitty does a place have to be to go out of business within a year or two and you're right by a nice movie theater in a busy shopping center? That was such a dumb idea, to put a generic seafood place in South Louisiana. That sort of shite might fly in Iowa or Kansas, but not in a place where people know seafood and there are too many good local places that know what people here want to eat. (And before anyone says "But what about Red Lobster? That place does great." Red Lobster has a niche and a following. That dump had neither.)

Forgot about Fish City.
Smoky Bones was kinda a hot mess.
Spice Bistro was also a fun one. I think they closed after 4 weeks.
