Getting a sack tomorrow around 530 and will boil around noon Saturday. What's my best course of keeping them alive? TIA

If you the crawfish arent being transported, hang the sack on a nail from a rafter, with a soaked beach towel draped around them to keep them cool. In the shade preferably.

Or use the ice chest method in the thread linked.

Ice chest, on ice with a towel separating them, sack covered with moist towel. one side elevated so it drains and they don't drown. Lid cracked so they can breathe. Keep in the shade.

I put several 4" by 4" boards on the bottom of ice chest then fill half way up the board with ice. Place sack on boards then place towel on top with more ice on top of towel. Leave the lid open a 1/2 inch or so. Open cap on drain plug and tilt chest to drain.

Agree

I've took crawfish across country with just putting a board at the bottom of ice chest laying sack on top and filling with ice. As long as you leave the plug open for water to get out you will be fine..

Yeah, Karl was correct, I usually get a half bag of ice, bust it up, keep it in the bag, and lay it on top of the sack, which will be in an ice chest, slanted and lid cracked open.
I have kept them fine for 48 hours like this.
