But the food actually doesn't suck.

A little shocked by Wise's suggestion, but the carne asada is killer there. No love for Taco Loceaux in here? I've yet to pull the trigger on them.

I have no clue why BlackenedOut thinks La Casita is crappy. The food is always fresh, consistent, and delicious when I've been and inexpensive. If anything, their happy hour deals have reduced my outings to the more expensive Mexican joints around here.

It may be a truck but I am all-in for Taceaux Loceaux being the best in NOLA.

I also enjoy La casita. Don't get the hate. I have only been the last 6 months though.

Shocked I shared my little gem with the board ?

Taceaux Loceaux truck is good however it can be on the salty side. Especially the brisket taco. The chicken and kermt's BBQ are my go to. I'll get the chubster (hard shell) sometimes and the avocado fries are wonderful. I eat there about once a week since they are always in my area but I wouldn't call them the best.

Full disclosure, full fledged fanboy of La Casita and have spent too much time there.

I'm curious to hear BO describe his reasoning. I agree a few of the regular tacos are straightforward without much "sizzle". However, when they started doing the specialty tacos, I think they answered that criticism. I had a lamb taco there that was as good as any I've had in town. It was $13-15 for 3 tacos which isn't terrible.

If you consider value, they deserve to be mentioned in the top tier.

Blah blah blah blah. I'm glad someone finally agrees with me on La Casita being meh. 3 tacos for $15 ain't a deal amigo.

Only went once, food was bland, cold, and not deserving of the $4 to $5 price tag per taco. Go to D.F. and compare the 2. You'll see why, quickly.
