Awful? Seriously? Granted I haven't been since last summer, but their pulled chicken taco and brisket taco I always thought were both on point. Ate there about once every 2 weeks for a year. Great guac too and hell of a happy hour.

Hidden gem for sure. Great prices, quick service. The carne asada there is clutch.

La Casita on Julia. I should mention that I haven't been to Johnny Sanchez or the place on Magazine across from Sukho Thai.

Lester, what was the name of the place just across Severn from Lakeside Mall? I have not been since our relatives divorced, but I remember that place being good.

Taqueria Corona maybe? It's on Severn but the same side of the mall, heading towards the lake. In a strip mall. It's decent. local chain

It was not a Taq Corona. It appeared to be a "mom and pop" operation. It was not actually on Severn, but was about 1/2 block off. I think it was across a side street from a Capital One bank branch.

I just looked at Google streetview and that is not it. It was not in a strip building but was freestanding. It must be closed now. I think it may have been on 20th St.

The place you are thinking about was Honduran and then it closed and a pizza place moved in. I can't remember the name of either place it's been a while I don't work anywhere near Metairie anymore.

Good call on Mizado too. A tad pricey, but the food is good and there's not many places in Nola metro with a more concentrated gathering of attractive females.
