Hey, I just started working in the BR metro area and wanted to know what the board recommends as a good bar in terms of beer selection. Looking for sours and porters mostly.

If beer selection is main concern, corporate brew and draft

Right next to the cove that the previous poster mentioned. Same ownership, but cbd is draft focused. They have many sours available. Probably only place in BR with sours on draft.

BR really has a lot more beer options than I would've expected. Good to see the number of places that at least have Envie on tap.

Quality and Selection: Cove, Corporate Brew and Draft, Chimes, Bulldog are all great. Pelican House is pretty good selection-wise too.

Quality but limited selection: Overpass Merchant, Red Zeppelin, Olive or Twist

Is it true that the cove and corporate brew both require collared shirts?

Unless they changed the policy in the past few months, no. I tend to wear T-shirts on the weekend and I've never been told anything.

Oh, and the Calandro's at Perkins and Siegen has a hell of a lot better beer selection than the one on Government. Of course, that store is two or three times bigger than the Government location.

Red Zeppelin,

Great little selection and this evening would be a great time to sit on their patio. Plus bonus good pizza.
