I really don't know a ton about what's "good" and would prefer to find someone who could guide me in person.

Whole Foods? Specialty Grocers?

Is online the best bet?

I'm not looking for dressing.

Just the vinegar.

Fresina's in the Drusilla Shopping Center carries some fine balsamic vinegars. They'll generally let you taste them before buying.

Yep fresinas.

They have some great ones. They also offer cooking classes sometimes.

I love their berry balsamic. Good selection of olive oils as well.

Blue Ridge Olive Oil Co will do your heart and soul good. I love to cook - the variety and depth of their olive oils and balsamic vinegars are unreal and the prices are reasonable. They will ship.
