Best Place in Metairie for Seafood
Posted by Wolverine 2219 on 2/17/13 at 11:48 am00
Looking to go somewhere and grab some crawfish or shrimp by the pound. Kind of like a Sammy's type place or B and J Seafood (Hammond). TIA

Kenner Seafood & Harbor Seafood. Both have excellent food at cheap prices

Went to Deanies in buck town yesterday and got 10 lbs of crawfish to start off between three of us and they were horrible. Small, too many dead and many of them had gray tail meat and mushy. I think it was from sitting in water or steamer to keep them hot too long. We mentioned it to the waitress but she didn't say anything back. We left a bunch uneaten and got out of there. They were also 5.40 something a pound. Won't go back there next time I am looking for boiled crawfish.

I hate Deanne's. Give me R&O's or even overpriced Galley any day over that place

I was about to post the same thing. I've always heard that Bozo's is legit when it comes to fried seafood but I've never made it by there.

If you need them to go, there's none better than Lil Kat's on W. Metairie by Delta Playground. I haven't been in over 10 years and assume it's still there. Man that was some great crawfish.
