Yeah those are normal and they usually have Pranqster which is a decent craft beer, but as you said only in bottles. The place isn't really a fun hangout type place - there's no bar or anything to encourage people to come for a social gathering, happy hour, etc. It needs more of an identity and a livelier atmosphere.

I agree with all that you said. The place is clean and nice, but zero atmosphere. This agrees with the layout comment as well. It's weird.

To your other point on the soft drinks, they did recently begin serving them.

Overall I think the pizza, salads and apps are great/fresh. Everything else is pretty much a miss.

Exactly - and the deal is with Mandeville is that there are so many options and a lot of ppl with disposbable income, so if you don't cover your bases you are playing a dangerous game.

You need to be flexible more than anything. I do appreciate their Neapolitan style pizza but it don't know if it's good enough to make it my regular place. I live like 5 mins away too...

All the above mentioned are good but my favorite pizza place is Mama D's in Abita. It's a small operation but they are really good. Calzones are even better! I would definitely recommend making the drive for a good meal.

I'm from Abita, and yes it is my favorite too. It's just too far away now

I've never eaten there, but passed it a thousand times. The only food I eat out that way is the burger at the Pub on occasion. I'm going to make a point to eat there soon.

McClain's. The owners are very nice people as well.

Isn't the owner an actor? Somerholser or something like that...

Coscinos is the best if you like a New York style pizza with a great crispy crust.
