So I have a friend of mine coming in town who is a vegetarian, but her one meat indulgence is crawfish. She's been to NO many times before, but has been away for 6-8 years now. Looking for good dishes anywhere that feature crawfish, and any restaurants that really cater to vegetarians. I know there is always the options of subbing out meat, but is nice to have options on the menu for everyone as well. Restaurants that are relatively new for her to try would be a plus.

(The one place I have on the radar for sure is Green Goddess.)

Any suggestions?

Green Goddess is excellent.

High end, August has a farmer's market vegetable tasting menu.

Carmo on Julia is fairly new (year or two) and has delicious food for vegetarians and meat eaters.

I believe Root has a few options but I haven't made it there yet.

On the casual side, Dat Dog has a mouthwatering veggie dog. No, really, it's good. And Cowbell has a unique veggie burger they make in house. She won't be getting a warmed up Boca burger. Tru Burger also makes its own veggie burgers out of beets. Surrey's is a good breakfast/brunch option.

There are some vegetarian/vegan pop up restaurants I haven't tried, like O!Vegasm and Wandering Buddha, that might be worth looking into.

Can't help with the crawfish dishes.

Wow, never heard of Carmo, but the menu looks very good and it has some good reviews out there. Never considered that the burger/dog craze has left us some good veggie lunch options. Thanks for the suggestions!
