Is it unanimous that Coyote Blues wins?

I mean Baton Rouge is limited in you have
Las Palmas
La Carreta
Lava Cantina
Mi Padres
Ninfas
Superior
Taco Bell
Izzos
Zippy's

So who serves the most authentic mexican, or best tasting mexican food?

BR and the BR area has fantastic Mexican. You're obviously trying to troll but your ignorance is showing.

Carlos' by a mile. Father of Jim and Carlos Jr. of Mestizo's

ETA: Sad that your original list didn't include his place.

Wow, you left my two favorites off the list.

For authentic Mexican, my favorite place used to be La Tiendita... that was, until I tried La Morenita. That place rules.

As far as Tex Mex, my favorite is El Rio Grande. Enchiladas con huevos, a side of guacamole, and a chocolate chimichanga for dessert

I've never been to Carlos but I've heard good things. What do you recommend?

Not really, you just don't agree with me so you use this line. It is really common on the FBD board actually

Traditional beef burrito. He had peppers and onions covering it in an amazing "chili/cheese" sauce. I can't even be tempted to try anything else because the damn burrito is so freakin' good! And Carlos Jr. is so incredibly nice. His son brings the chips and runs food - kid is about 10 and is the most polite young man you will meet. I love going there because it is quiet, food is awesome and the service is friendly. Give them a try some time! I think they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

ETA: Yeah, by Circle Bowl. I have been a lifelong BR resident and I know they have been around forever. Didn't discover Carlos' until a few years ago, but was going to Mestizo's since they were first on Sherwood, and Jim and Carlos Jr. were so welcoming. I know Carlos' had closed for a bit, but now Jim is at Mestizo's and Carlos Jr. is at Carlos'.

No but it was one of the ones I thought of originally, I like the name calling it shows a lack of education among yourself
