I am going down to Pensacola this weekend for the Blue Angels and am tasked with bringing coleslaw. We're going to pair it with bar-b-que and I'm going to put it on a hot dog. I prefer "sweet" slaw instead of the type that tastes like straight vinegar.

These are the options close to my house:

Target
Publix
Wal-Mart

I guess I could also stop pretty much anywhere close tot he interstate between Birmingham and Pensacola. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just buy some shredded coleslaw mix and mix it with Kraft slaw dressing. There's a ton of excellent slaw recipes in the recipe thread that won't be as pedestrian.

Whatever is in the trash.

Real answer...the kind that's in a KFC box , that I used to trade to my idiot brother for his mashed taters. All it's good for.

Frick coleslaw.

I guess that is a route we could go but really we're going to be driving all night tonight and don't really want to spend any time prepping tomorrow. We'd rather enjoy the beach as much as possible.

Find a packet of super slaw. add just a little sugar and mix according to directions. Add just enough to cover slaw not overwhelm it.

If those are the only options, just grab some from Publix. Their deli stuff is always pretty good.

I just went through all the links in the recipe thread up top and only see a broccoli slaw and a German-style slaw. Am I missing it?

Blue Cheese Slaw:

Head cabbage chopped (or buy the packs)
Head Red cabbage chopped
5 Chopped up boiled eggs
3 chopped up bunches of green onions
Banana pepper liquid (vinegar)
Few big globs of Hellman's mayo
Thing of good blue cheese crumbles
Salt and or Tony's
Shitload of cracked black pepper

Incorporate all ingredients in a bowl. Eat and call it good.

Ingles

Looks like there's only one of those in Alabama, and it's north east of Birmingham near the Georgia line.

Honestly, I'd never even heard of Ingles until just now.

If it was me, I'd find the best BBQ place in the area and go buy it there.

You really must be a fat kid. Opening a bag, dumping it in a bowl and pouring dressing over it doesn't constitute 'prepping' fatty.

Damn dude, the guy wants to buy already made coleslaw so he can maximize his time on the beach. Unless ya'll have a history on these message boards you come off as a very angry person.

Hell, I always buy potato salad at either Randall's or Walmart, but I wouldn't ever want to tell you that or I may be insulted. Way to go man.
