Check out Murphy's, CA. Small town that used to be a gold mining town. They have 15+ wine tasting rooms on one street. We had a blast when we went there. Rented a cottage 2 blocks off Main Street.

i've had some excellent meals at Prospect, Foreign Cinema and at Hog Island Oyster Co. in the ferry building.

The Napa Valley has 400 or so brick and mortar wineries. Hard to pick btw them. I like Cade up towards Angwin. The view is spectacular.

I hear people are mostly disappointed in Foreign Cinema though personally I've never been. Tadich is worth checking out.
