Best cheese for a tuna melt?

And do you prefer open faced? Regular bread, Texas toast, French bread?

I want to make some bitching tuna melts.

I don't think shredded cheese should go on a tuna melt.

Maybe some nice sharp cheddar if I'm in the mood for that, but probably provolone for me.

I have used this one several times and enjoyed it.

I have tried several kinds of cheese and wasn't disappointed.
