Best burner for the money
Posted by LSURoss on 1/3/16 at 2:01 pm00
So, I'm boiling shrimp today and I am official fed up with my burner. What burners do yall use. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but at the same time I want my damn water to boil. any leads would be appreciated.

Keep your single jet burner, and get a larger regulator. The 10-30psi adjustable ones work great. May as well get a new hose at the same time. Dry fit it in the store to make sure it fits.
I have a Bayou Classic double burner. It's great if the propane tank is full. If the ranks not full, it will freeze up in a hurry. To combat this, I've been getting it topped off at the uhaul store that's on my way to work before I do crawfish.
I have a 32 net natural gas burner. Works great, it getting a little rusty so I'm sure I'll have to replace it soon.
As mentioned, your problem is probably with your regulator. Before you change that though make sure your nozzle isnt clogged.

Bayou Classic KAB6 Bayou Cooker
For Christmas my wife got me a double jet burner and a 40lb propane tank. I put the 10 psi regulator that came with the burner in my backup equipment box and put a 60 psi regulator on it. Damn thing sounds like a jet. Can't wait until crawfish season.

Love mine. Never worry about the propane bottle being empty....unless it's in my heater or smoker
