blendtec. Bought one ninja and one other $120 blender. Both broke within a week. Spent the $400 for a blender i'll have for the next 10+ years

I have a ninja that has a spire of twisting blades. That shite could liquefy a cinder block. It is awesome. I love it

Refurb Commercial Blendtec for $208

I have this model and I'm tempted to buy a second for storage in case this one ever dies. Never again will I buy a big box store blender. I can fill it full of ice cubes and turn it into snow. Not crushed ice pieces. SNOW.

The sound case was crackled, but the rest of the unit is in perfect condition. These things sell new for $700+ (this is not the same blendtec you find in Costco, these are commercial units) My understanding is these were units taken out of starbucks and refurbished.

eta: code "facebook" knocks 5% off. $198.54 shipped.

I have the $100 Ninja I got at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $80 with their coupon. You could make a smoothie out of a transmission with that thing.

Agreed. Blendtec is by far the best blender on the market. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I think the Ninja is crap. Taking into account the OP's budget, I'd go with Breville. I keep one at the office, can't remember the model number, but that thing will blend marbles.

Blendec and Vitamix are it. Too pricey but our Blendtec will beat the shite out of anything.

Will it blend youtube videos are awesome. They are all Blendtec videos

Gris, let me speak your language: Ninja = gumbo with stringy, overcooked chicken.

Nada. I don't put my gumbo in a blender. Hmmm, cream of gumbo bisque. Someone on this board would eat it.

I would pull the trigger on that blendtec, but mine has the 5-7 yr warranty. Can't beat that.

I have a Waring Pro and am looking to upgrade to Vitamix or Blendtec. I cannot decide which. That commercial refurb blendtec for $200 though...I might be all over that!

ETA: I use my Waring for protein shakes and you gotta stop and use a spoon to push the ice down if you want it thick. I wouldn't recommend it.

As I said, my sound shield was all crackled and beat up. If you're OK with that, I'd pull the trigger. I need to take a few before and after pictures and post them on here of its handy work. That thing can crush atoms.

I wish I could compare how loud the regular blendtec is compared to the commercial. Also, how much louder is it w/o the sound shield?
