Not that many U.S. restaurants on the list. Commanders and August make the cut, though.

Only 17 for me...the list is pretty poor in spots. Eleven Madison at 241?

I've only been to Commander's and Victoria and Albert's on that list. I'd agree with the list and rank V&A higher, but love Commander's. August is higher than either but I still haven't made it there yet.

Here's the Menu to #1 on the list
Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville
$383 Swiss Franc
which is almost a 1:1 with the US dollar.

#2 Per Se - New York

Is this list Japan biased or is it just me? I mean there legit might be 80-100 places in Japan on that list in the top 500.

Well Tokyo/Kyoto are the food capitals of the world....they ought to have a good showing.

I don't agree with August over V&A at all.

Edit: Noma at 217th??? I call bull on this.

Per Se

Fix Prixe $310 but if you order this

CARNAROLI RISOTTO BIOLOGICO"
Shaved White Truffles from Alba, Castelmagno "Mousseline" and "Beurre Noisette"
It is $175 more. That is crazy.

You could easily blow 1k on food per person at those places. Add the caviar sub, add truffles, etc.

Any list that doesn't have either Noma or Faviken in the top
25 is suspect. Alinea is not there either.

I believe the San Pelligrino list had a little more merit.
