I don't know if tetu had planned to do this, but lets do this again

I always like to see how this list changes throughout the years

VOTING
Step 1: Post your list of Top 15 Beers Brewed in Louisiana. (Licensed Breweries Only)
Step 2: We rank them

I'm going to rank your list using a point system so make sure it is in orders of favorite down. I'll tally all the votes early next week to give everyone plenty of time to submit their list.

Beers that qualify: any beer ever brewed by a licensed brewery/brewpub in Louisiana.

*try not to include any super limited brewery only releases

I'm never good at ranking beers, but just like Boo I don't plan on doing much work while at the office today so I will give it a shot.

FIRST DRAFT, subject to multiple changes and revisions.

1. Parish Grand Reserve (I'm a sucker for barleywines)
2. Parish GITM
3. Parish Bloom
4. Parish DDH Envie
5. Parish Bloom
6. Gnarly Barley Peanut Butter Korova
7. Gnarly Barley Brightside
8. Parish Reve
9. Tin Roof Juke Joint (revamped)
10. Parish Flora Genesis
11. Gnarly Barley Korova
12. Tin Roof DIPA
13. NOLA House Of The Rising
14. Tin Roof Voodoo Bengal (revamped)
15. Great Raft Commotion

I haven't had many others from Great Raft or NOLA recently... I'm sure they have plenty other good stuff out though. Nothing from Abita, Chafunkta, Southern Craft, Mudbug, Second Line, or Urban South makes the cut.

I know this is slanted a lot having recently gone to GR day and brought all those beers home... plus easy access to Tin Roof's revamped recipes... but whatever.

Edited for earlier versions of GITM. I haven't had that many Great Rafts but I hope to change that in 2017 as well as the courtyards and others.

*subject to change

1) GR HH Old Mad Joy
2) GR You Me and Everyone We Know
3) GR Come What Mayhaw
4) Parish Reve
5) Parish Bloom
6) GR DDH Commotion
7) Parish DDH Envie
8) Parish Opus Vert
9) GR Rum BA OMJ
10) GR Drunk Uncle
11) GR All My Tommorrows
12) Parish GITM
13) Gnarly Barley PB Korova
14) GR Near and Far
15) GR Farmhouse Slang

So...yeah. I'm sorry for the overload of Parish and Great Raft but they are easily 1a and 1b in the state, and they are both producing the best beers in the state.

Great Raft produced so many new beers in the Belgian and barrel programs this year.

I wish I could try some of the Courtyard IPAs.

The rest of the breweries...step up your shite.

I can get behind this. I'd throw Serendipite up behind Reve.

Go home. You're drunk.

Even with inconsistency, it's a top 3 beer in the state.

Sorry. I have to consider the entire year. If they hadn't brewed it since the spring, it would be in my top 5 easily

But I'm going to account for inconsistency. The February batch of Grace and Grit was easily a top 15 beer, but the January batch was awful. So I didn't include it.

Not if you don't like that style of beer.

Send some of that Shreveport goodness down here.

I also love the 2013 list. Abita was repping. Glad the landscape has changed and look forward to seeing what the next few years produce.

Pretty much all I buy from in state brewers is Envie, Commotion and Budlight. Those will be my top 3 in no particular order.
