Williams and Conner Uvalde Tx. They do thin sliced. The Pepper trio or Mesquite is my go to.

That Pappy's was always my favorite since I was a kid...until I discovered The Really Really Good Jerky Store in Sweetwater, TX.

There was a guy in my office the other day that makes his jerky with smoked pork cheeks. It was delicious and more tender.

I can't find Pappy's anywhere.
Anyone know where in BR?

In Centerville, TX there's a place right off of the interstate called Woody's Smokehouse. Their thin cut, peppered beef jerky is the best I've ever had. I buy at least $100 worth every time I make a trip to Dallas.
I've also gotten into making my own the past few months using my dehydrator and smoker. Started with Alton Brown's recipe and branched out from there. It's become a fun hobby and it's much cheaper than buying it pre-made.

I think Pappy's is my favorite too. I make my own occasionally. Been using the same dehydrator my parents bought me when i was 15. Use basically the same recipe as i did then, but i've been gradually reducing the salt.
I don't know why, but Jerky prices have skyrocketed the past 3 or 4 years.

Don't eat jerky all that much but Chris Specialty Meats in Lakeview (New Orleans) does a great job.
