BR. I live in Nola. Want to take the gf (from NYC) on a relaxing weekend. I've been searching but would like recommendations.

There's tons of them in New Orleans. As for cajun country, I'm pretty ignorant. I would say just to take her to stay at Houma's House in Burnside and eat at Latil's Landing.

it's not a bed and breakfast but you should consider renting cabins at chicot park for a relaxing weekend. google it and check them out. in the middle of the woods and very peacefull. they are on the water.

in ville platte. it doesn't get more Cajun. trust me. and, on the way back home, make sure and stop at one of our meat markets and get some of the best smoked sausage and boudin in the world.

I know it's not Cajun, but there are a few places in old town Covington that are nice. They are in walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars, etc.
Very relaxing to me to park the car when I get there on Friday and not have to get in it again until leaving

Le Village in Eunice. Check out the Liberty Theater on Sat nite for Cajun Music, or DI's for Cajun Music and food or Lakeview Campgrounds for a barn dance, or Nick's on 2nd Street for dining and music.

Maison D'Memoire in Rayne, LA so its right in the heart of Cajun Country. These are Jacuzzi style cottages and she brings your hot breakfast to your door to enjoy in your cabin.... No having to get up and go in the Big House to mingle and eat with everyone else.

I think Houmas House is $300+ per night. Nottoway is in the same price range and you can stay in the plantation...

two that come to mind Fairfax House in Franklin, and Maison Des Amis in Breaux Bridge.

T'Frere in Lafayette is nice, and has a ghost story to it, too.

Maison de Madeleine out at Lake Martin. Close to Breaux Bridge and Lafayette.

If that's too secluded, then T'Freres in Lafayette.
