Bayou Teche Swamp Thing IPA

I didn't love Swamp Thing, but this has my interest:

Cocodrie was in my rotation. Very solid beer.

Cocodrie before the recipe shakeup was good. Will be interesting to see how the new recipe shakes out.

Have had it several times, it's drinkable but not something to seek out

Big fan of Ragin Cajuns. Also wanna try the new 12% DDH dedicated to a prostate cancer charity. I think it's called Techticles.

Because of preconceived notions of BT's beers early on, which is the fault of Bayou Teche and the way their bottling was done.

Seemed during the time they were outsourcing the bottling to Lazy Magnolia, all their beers had this metallic aftertaste to them.

Now that they bottle in-house, it doesn't seem to be an issue, and beers like Cocodrie and Meil Savague are really good, IMO. However, because of the way their beers were the first few years, you have a lot of people that are hesitant to give them another try.

That, and apparently that sour beer they tried a couple years ago was a disaster. I don't like sours, so I never had the honor of trying it.

It's not the best or as good as some of their other beers, but I grew up right by the brewery, so if I'm not looking for something in particular, I give them the business.
