I just poured up my first one. Anybody else tried it? I don't think I'll buy another 6 pack but it's decent.

Cocodrie was in my rotation. Very solid beer.

Cocodrie before the recipe shakeup was good. Will be interesting to see how the new recipe shakes out.

It was good when it first came out. But this batch didn't impress. They keep messing with the recipe to make it specifically for competition tasting. I bought a bunch but they're all shelf turds. etc. etc.

Have had it several times, it's drinkable but not something to seek out

Swamp thing is a decent beer. I buy it from time to time. Attempting to compare it to parish ipas is just stupid. It's not expected to be. It's also half the price.

Big fan of Ragin Cajuns. Also wanna try the new 12% DDH dedicated to a prostate cancer charity. I think it's called Techticles.

Holy shite it's hazy! Must be awesome.

But for real, OG Cocodrie was very enjoyable. Not sure why it never found a market. It was everything a Belgian-style IPA should be.

Because of preconceived notions of BT's beers early on, which is the fault of Bayou Teche and the way their bottling was done.

Seemed during the time they were outsourcing the bottling to Lazy Magnolia, all their beers had this metallic aftertaste to them.

Now that they bottle in-house, it doesn't seem to be an issue, and beers like Cocodrie and Meil Savague are really good, IMO. However, because of the way their beers were the first few years, you have a lot of people that are hesitant to give them another try.

That, and apparently that sour beer they tried a couple years ago was a disaster. I don't like sours, so I never had the honor of trying it.

I am kinda disappointed that went the haze with it. I understand why they did and I am visiting BR this week so I am going to look for it.

Even with a bit of age it still was pretty good with banana and yeast Belgian flavor. I would have loved for them to go brett-funk if they were going to change.

It's not the best or as good as some of their other beers, but I grew up right by the brewery, so if I'm not looking for something in particular, I give them the business.
