Baton Rouge restaurants that you have officially written off

After the third time of patronizing this place, I'm officially done with Cowboy Chicken.
I like their concept as I prefer rotisserie chicken over fried chicken, when done right. I like their restaurant layout. I like their employees. I do not like their food.
The nail in the coffin for this restaurant occurred during my last visit. Lunch chicken special with two sides.
At best, the taste is mediocre. The chicken (dark meat) appeared to be an adolescent before it was killed and the chicken leg rivaled Popeye's for smallest drumstick served. The chicken was extremely dry and lacked any type of seasoning. If only Sam's (and even Costco) could show this franchise how to cook a rotisserie chicken and keep it properly heated without drying out (chicken broth anyone?).
The fried okra appears to have been breaded and then frozen, i.e. not fresh) at the factory. And the macaroni and cheese tastes like something that came of of a Great Value box. The roll, and while I don't expect homemade Lambert type rolls, is nothing more than what you can find at your local grocery store.
For $8 and some change, this would represent a good value for lunch. However, I knew I was in trouble when I saw a cook behind the counter place another person's chicken order in the microwave to warm it up before plating it. At a place like this, a microwave should never be an option.
If the chicken is dry, throw it away and get a new bird from the rotisserie. Set a standard and never deviate from it. Employees should know what management's standard is and anything less than that is unacceptable. Had this occurred, chances are I wouldn't be writing a review stating that I am done with this place. I truly wish Cowboy Chicken the best as I know there is a owner(s) that has invested a lot of time, effort, energy and money into wanting to make this place successful to support the business staying open and providing an honest living for their family.
So that's my lunch story beef. What's yours?

Breck's.
A close, decently priced Italian place was great, but the inconsistency was outrageous. Between over 1.5 hours waiting for food, being served cold food, grease soaked fried food, and having them "not have our order" in their system after a call in, I can't bring myself to go back.
Their fried bombshells were legit though.

I had written off Barcadia, but I'm going to give them one more shot today.
ETA: not as good as it was when the curbside folks were running the kitchen, but a lot better than the last couple times I'd eaten there. They're off the write off list, but I doubt I'll be going there super often.

The Velvet Cactus - went once and got bean dip that tasted like the stuff you buy at Circle K at 2 a.m. Friend said his daughter ordered shrimp quesadillas and the shrimp had shells still attached. Also heard the margaritas stink.
George's - There are tons of better places in town where you can buy a burger without giving a gaping a-hole your money.
Cowboy Chicken - You can get a similar quality chicken plate lunch at any grocery store in town for a few bucks cheaper.

I know it's gotten alot of hate for being just hype in the past, but I've recently written off T.J. Ribbs
I've heard they were boiled and all that, but used to REALLY love their ribs. We went their for dinner about a month ago on a trip into baton rouge and the best thing on the plate was the cole slaw. Ribs were ok at best. The real problem was my fiances chicken. It looked and tasted like it had been microwaved.

Pelican House - I'll never set foot in that place again. Ever.
Fat Cow - well, more specifically, Fat Cow's burgers. The concept is good, the burgers sound good on the menu, but the execution is terrible. The bun is awful, and they will only cook to hockey puck consistency. I like the cheese fries though.
George's - just don't want to support Smokey after his attempt to run off all the food trucks a couple years ago.

I've never had high hopes for the place. For the price of a chicken meal, I could buy two chickens from the grocery store. Agree that the last time I went, the portion size of the chicken was so small (2 legs and a thigh) that I doubt it equaled more than 4 oz.

Beausoleil- As much as this board loves them, I've had 3 consistently bad meals and service there. 3 strikes

part of what makes a bar great is the atmosphere and it is usually dead in there. Partly because of the boys club behind the bar. Get some chicks working back there.

Not necessarily completely written off, but I think Tsunami is very overrated.
Sushi is just as good at Ichiban and Geisha imo, and you're not paying extra just to be on a rooftop in a downtown that doesn't have any unique views that would merit the extra cost.

The food at Walk-On's has gotten much, much better in recent years. My wife was even raving about it the other day -- she's a nurse at OLOL and they get meals from there via Waitr all the time. It's something her co-workers can all agree on and there are healthy options.
I'm on the verge of writing off Lava Cantina. Every time I eat there, it's better than the time before. But it is still mediocre.

Sounds like you don't know many restaurants in Baton Rouge if that's the case.
Of "all" the places listed, Beausoleil is the only one I frequent and have had nothing but great experiences.
